Autumn Bus Tour - Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Our autumn bus tour will begin at the Balboa Sports Center, Encino at 8:45 A.M. We will leave from the parking lot on Balboa Blvd. at 9:00 a.m.. for the Fullerton Arboretum. The Arboretum exhibits plants from around the world in four main collections: Mediterranean, Woodland, Desert, and Cultivated. Its collections demonstrate a variety of plants suitable to the Southern California climate. We ill have a guided tour of the gardens and the opportunity to visit the Garden's fantastic gift shop and retail nursery.

Lunch will be at the picnic tables under the Arborteum's covered arbor. Bring your own sack lunch or buy your lunch at the cafe. Desserts will be provided by our hostesses. The club will provide iced tea and bottled water.

Wear walking shoes, bring a hat or visor and a sack lunch, and enjoy a day with your garden club friends. We will return to the Balboa Sports Center around 3:30 P.M.

Donation: $15.00 (includes bus driver’s tip and garden entrance fee).
